Well. Maybe that's stretching it a little. As a reminder for an Ian that I'll most possibly come by in the future, this post shall pose as a note about what we did today in class - Tuesday September 7th 2010.
Today was productive. Well, atleast in comparison to my own productivity. We started out mapping a concept map to evaluate what we're really talking about. What functions should the item have? What should it look like, it's form? What about it's Safety issues. We're creating a water bottle for dogs made for their owners to carry around during long walks. The original item was purchased at a typical dollar store and analyzed by my team. At the end of the concept mapping process, we came up with a few features that this bottle will have:
- A stronger clip
- A round bowl
- Improved Material
- Volume Control
- A secret compartment
- Several Grips
The above mentioned things and a few other minute features will be added in to improve the object. We then thought about the materials and components of the objects and created a table to evaluate them. We separated the table into single components of the Doggy water bottle. We then thought about the multiple colours, sizes, uses that the final product may have and put it down.
The final prototype is due in a week. MAterials of the prototype still has to be discussed and settled. Multiple prototypes are encourages and will be ventured into.
